DOWNLOADING YOUR PHOTOS FROM YOUR ONLINE GALLERY

Apple / iPhone

When downloading from your gallery onto an iPhone, your photos will go to either your Files app or your Photos app, depending on whether you are downloading the full gallery or a single photo.

Follow these steps to find your images based on how you downloaded them:

If you downloaded the Full Gallery (or a large batch)

Pixieset compiles large collections into a compressed folder to save space.

  1. Open the built-in Files app (blue folder icon).
  2. Go to the Browse tab and tap Downloads.
  3. Look for a file named "Pixieset..." ending in .zip.
  4. Tap the .zip file once. Your iPhone will automatically unzip it and create a regular folder with all your pictures inside

If you downloaded a Single Photo

Single photos are handled differently by Safari:

  • The "Hold to Save" method: Pixieset often opens single images in a new browser window. Press and hold your finger down on the image, then tap Save to Photos from the menu. The photo will go straight into your Photos app library.
  • The "My Device" method: If you clicked the direct download arrow and chose "My Device", look for the individual image file inside your Files app > Downloads folder.

How to move Pixieset photos from Files to your Camera Roll

If your photos are sitting in the Files app and you want them in your main camera roll: [1]

  1. Open the unzipped folder in the Files app.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner and choose Select.
  3. Select all the images you want.
  4. Tap the Share/Export icon (the square with an upward arrow) at the bottom left.
  5. Tap Save [Number] Images. They will instantly appear in your Photos app.

Android

On an Android phone, gallerydownloads will go to either your Files / My Files app or your Google Photos / Gallery app, depending on how many images you downloaded.

Follow these steps to find your pictures:

If you downloaded the Full Gallery

Android always downloads full galleries as a compressed file.

  1. Open your phone's file manager app. This is usually named Files, My Files, or Files by Google.
  2. Tap the Downloads category or folder.
  3. Look for a file named "Pixieset..." ending in .zip.
  4. Tap the .zip file. A pop-up will ask you to Extract or Unzip it.
  5. Once extracted, a new regular folder will open containing all your images. These will now also automatically appear in your Gallery app under a new folder name.

If you downloaded a Single Photo

  • The Download Button: If you tapped the download arrow, the image goes to your Downloads folder. Open your Gallery or Google Photos app and look for the Downloads album.
  • The "Hold to Save" method: If you pressed and held your finger on the image and tapped Download image, it will also save directly to your Gallery/Photos app under the Downloads album.

Can't find them?

If you cannot see the images in your photo gallery after unzipping them, open Files by Google, go to Internal Storage > Download, and check if the unzipped folder is sitting there.
