One on the hottest months I have worked in the UK. Out came the shorts & the suncream....

Laythams Lakehouse. Slaidburn

Sometimes, when a new small venue pops up, and you are the 1st wedding there, it frightens you. However, I need not have worried, because this gorgeous little venue nestled in the Ribble Valley is an absolute gem ! Marina & Martin had the most brilliant day.

However, they chose the hottest day of the year, so had to be subjected to my white legs, and factor 50...

Falcon Manor. Settle

I shouldn't have favourite venues - however this is most definately in my top 5 !

Charlotte & Jamie chose to have a really intimate ceremony at Clitheroe Registry office, then an incredible evening part at Falcon Manor. It worked so well !

Barff House. Driffield. East Riding of Yorkshire

What an incredible venue. But sadly - don't get your hopes up, as I believe this was the last wedding ever going to be held there. The couple that live here (yes, this is actually someones house !!) wanted to retire - so you'd have to ask REALLY nicely if you wanted a wedding here now.

Anyhow, I'd met Ellie & Alex at other weddings, so it really was an absolutely delight to be able to capture their day. And what a day it was !

The best couple, with the best family and friends, for the best day !
