Another visit to the Netherwood Hotel - and yet again, beautiful weather greeted us. The views out across Morecambe bay for the outside ceremony as spectacular as ever.
Nicola & Ian chose a completely new format for their day, deciding to have speeches outside, in the break between the ceremony and the wedding breakfast. It worked really well !
Another brilliant day at this very special venue. Although the number of steps really does give your legs a workout....
I'd worked at this venue before and only realised this when I turned up in the morning... What a brilliant day we had with Gemma & Dan.
The ceremony eventually got underway after an unscheduled fire alarm caused us all to be evacuated literally seconds before the bride entered. That one was not in the wedding coordinators handbook...
These two were just brilliant, and just worked so well together.
They chose to have their ceremony at Chorleys registration office, followed by a trip to the stunning Astley Park for some photos, and then on to the town centre for a brilliantly informal reception.
If you ever go to this venue - ALWAYS use the road from Waddington ! I can write this with every confidence having taken the rally-stage circuit roads from Bashall after torrential rain. Trust me.
Loved the giant box of tissues for Dad (see pics below) and the couple took on board my secret hints and tips to make their bubble exit work so well....
This is a fabulous venue literally in the middle of nowhere - with stunning views and its own stone bridge. I hope to return someday soon (via Waddington...)
I was very priveleged to be asked by Kar & ChingChing to photograph their Chinese Wedding celebration. Having captured chinese celebrations before, I was fully prepared for the brilliant madness of the day. I was NOT prepared for the 85 course meal that they gave me. Slight exaggeration...but I had to purchase bigger pants afterwards...
Very privelegged to be invited to capture their traditions. From the "giving away ceremony" with their families, their wonderful custom of being under an umbrella all the way to the venue, to the tea-ceremony, and even an impromptu karaoke session.
